In Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, faces new challenges in the 1980s. In her civilian alter ego as a museum curator, she must navigate the complexities of office politics when a work colleague, Barbara Minerva, becomes both her friend and foe. But the real threat comes from businessman Maxwell Lord, whose insatiable desire for wealth and power leads him to manipulate an ancient artifact that grants wishes.
As the artifact, known as the Dreamstone, goes missing, chaos ensues as people's deepest desires start coming true. Diana soon learns the consequences of using the Dreamstone when she uses it to bring back her lost love, Steve Trevor. While enjoying their reunion, Diana realizes that everything comes with a price.
