Details
The Prey (2011) is a thrilling French action film that follows the story of Franck Adrien, a bank robber who is serving time in prison for his crimes. Prior to his arrest, Franck managed to hide the stolen money, but now, not only the police but also others are on the hunt for the cash. Franck's cellmate, Jean-Louis Maurel, is an alleged rapist and child molester who claims his innocence. When Maurel is unexpectedly acquitted by the court, he promises to protect Franck's family upon his release.
However, Franck's world is turned upside down when a man named Manuel Carrega informs him that Maurel is actually a suspected serial killer and that Franck's family is in grave danger. In a desperate bid to protect his loved ones, Franck escapes from prison, triggering a relentless pursuit by police officer Claire Linné and her team.
As the chase intensifies, Franck must outmaneuver the police while uncovering the truth about Maurel's dark secrets. With the lives of his family hanging in the balance, Franck must rely on his wits and resourcefulness to track down the hidden money and put an end to Maurel's sinister reign.
