Details
In Season of the Witch, a 14th century Crusader returns home to find his land ravaged by the Black Plague. The church believes that sorcery is responsible for the devastating disease and orders the Crusader, along with another knight, to escort an accused witch to a remote abbey. The monks at the abbey plan to perform a ritual in the hopes of ending the plague.
The journey is fraught with challenges as the group encounters hostile wilderness and internal conflicts over the fate of the accused witch. Joining the knights on their mission are a priest, a grieving knight, a disgraced wanderer, and a young man with dreams of knighthood.
Upon arriving at the abbey, the group makes a horrifying discovery that undermines their commitment to ensuring the fair treatment of the accused witch.
