In From winter stay to summer mountains, Wesslén follows the nomadic life of the Jokkmokkaks. The film began in 1942 and took seven years to make. Wesslén wanted to document the Sami migrations as he thought it might soon be too late. He follows them and their reindeer through different seasons in the mountain fields.
