In the movie Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, radio DJ Alan Partridge finds himself in a challenging situation as his radio station is taken over by a corporate conglomerate. To make matters worse, Alan unintentionally belittles a colleague after promising to promote him. In a fit of rage, the colleague takes the radio station hostage.
With his unique imagination, Alan envisions himself as a hero who can save the day. He decides to become a go-between for the police, hoping to negotiate a peaceful resolution. However, Alan's reckless nature and inability to keep quiet puts himself and others in danger.
