In the movie Stolen (2012), Will Montgomery, a notorious bank thief and family man, successfully steals $10 million with his partners Vincent, Riley Jeffers, and Hoyt. However, during their escape, an argument ensues between Will and Vincent, resulting in Hoyt abandoning Will. Will attempts to flee but is captured by FBI agent Tim Harlend, who organizes a manhunt. To protect himself, Will burns the stolen money as evidence against him.
Eight years later, Will is released from prison and reunites with his teenage daughter, Alison Loeb. Unfortunately, Alison is resentful towards her father and leaves him alone in a coffee shop while she attends a counseling session. Suddenly, Will receives a call from Vincent, who was presumed dead. Vincent reveals that he has kidnapped Alison and demands the $10 million from their last robbery as ransom. Will now has only twelve hours to find a way to rescue his daughter from the clutches of the psychopathic Vincent.
